Robert Greene (born 1959) is an American author whose bestselling works on strategy, power, and human behavior have made him a prominent figure in contemporary popular psychology and applied history. Trained in classical studies and shaped by a varied early career in publishing and media, Greene first gained wide recognition with 'The 48 Laws of Power' (1998), a book that crystalized his method of deriving behavioral “laws” from case studies of political, military, and artistic life. 'The Laws of Human Nature' (2018) is a wide-ranging guide to understanding the psychological forces that shape human behavior, from self-deception and envy to empathy and leadership.
