In fine condition. Rare.
Pershing's documentation of the various first edition states of Milton's masterpiece includes a detailed examination of the author's own copies of the work as well as the unmatched Lamport Hall copy and 30 copies in other libraries including the Bodelain Library, British Museum, the collection of J.P. Morgan, Princeton University, and Yale University.
