Howard Stern (b. 1954) is an American radio broadcaster, media personality, and author widely known for transforming the format of modern talk radio. Rising to national prominence in the 1980s through his provocative and highly personal broadcasting style, Stern became one of the most influential figures in American media, often referred to as the “King of All Media.” His long-running program, The Howard Stern Show, achieved record-breaking ratings in syndicated radio before moving to SiriusXM satellite radio in 2006, where it continued to attract a large subscriber audience. In addition to his broadcasting career, Stern authored bestselling books such as Private Parts (1993) and Miss America (1995), the former of which was adapted into a successful 1997 film starring Stern himself.
