Early printing of Thompson’s eleventh fantastical continuation of Frank Baum’s world of Oz. Octavo, original cloth. In very good condition. Illustrated plates by John R. Neill.

Ruth Plumy Thompson was chosen by Baum's publishers to continue the 'Oz' series due to her talent for storytelling and her familiarity with the world of Oz. In 'Pirates in Oz,' Peter Brown returns for a third time, washing up on the Octagon Isle after a shipwreck, where he joins King Ato of the Octagon Isle, who has been abandoned by his subjects, and Captain Samuel Salt, who has been abandoned by his crew of pirates, on a journey across the Nonestic Ocean.
