Rare Photograph of Paul Robeson; Signed by him

Paul Robeson was a prominent African American singer, actor, and political activist whose career spanned the early to mid-20th century. Educated at Rutgers University and Columbia Law School, Robeson first gained fame for his deep baritone voice and powerful stage presence in performances such as Othello and Show Boat. However, his legacy extends far beyond the arts; he became a vocal advocate for civil rights, labor movements, and anti-colonial struggles around the world. Robeson's outspoken criticism of racism, fascism, and U.S. foreign policy during the Cold War led to government surveillance, blacklisting, and the revocation of his passport. Despite these challenges, he remained committed to using his platform to promote social justice and international solidarity.
