Original John F. Kennedy Memorial Prayer Card
Original memorial prayer card issued in mourning for President John F. Kennedy following his assassination on November 22, 1963. The card bears a portrait photograph of the President on the front. On the reverse are his name and dates, May 29, 1917 to November 22, 1963, beneath a cross, together with the prayer, "Dear God, Please take care of your servant John Fitzgerald Kennedy," and an excerpt from his 1961 inaugural address beginning, "Now the trumpet summons us again." In good condition with toning and edgewear. The card measures 4.5 inches by 3.125 inches.
Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963, the nation entered a period of profound mourning, and countless memorial cards, photographs, and keepsakes were produced to honor the fallen President.
