Jason Giambi (b. 1971) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman and designated hitter whose career spanned from 1995 to 2014. He achieved his greatest success with the Oakland Athletics, winning the American League Most Valuable Player Award in 2000 after leading the league in on-base percentage and total bases. Giambi later played prominently for the New York Yankees during the early 2000s, earning multiple All-Star selections and contributing to postseason competition.
