First edition of this work composed of the diaries of Theodore Roosevelt from the ages of ten to nineteen. Octavo, original cloth with gilt titles to the spine and front panel, illustrated with photographs and facsimiles of the author's original drawings and letters. Fine in the rare original dust jacket which is in very good condition.
These remarkable diaries are, for the most part, taken from a journal begun when the future President was ten years old and are confined, with the exception of a few pages written during the Spanish-American War and certain notes on hunting trips in 1901 and 1905, to the period of his boyhood and youth.
