Presentation copy from the author as follows, “To Bill, With love and everything from his friend Harold Baynes, Meridan, N.H. 24th of November 1924”; Additionally signed on the half-title page “Faithfully yours Ernest Harold Baynes” In near fine condition with just a touch of wear to the extremities. Baynes was a noted naturalist and lecturer. He founded the Meriden Bird Club in 1911 in Meriden, New Hampshire. His work was instrumental is forming over two thirds of America’s bird clubs.
