First edition. Octavo, original yellow cloth. A touch of rubbing and to the extremities in a near fine dust jacket with some toning to the spine and light rubbing to the spine crown. Scarce in the original dust jacket and in this condition.
Hailed by John Updike as "Graham Greene's masterpiece." The Power and the Glory was chosen by TIME magazine as one of the hundred best English-language novels since 1923. In 1947, the novel was adapted into a film, The Fugitive, directed by John Ford and starring Henry Fonda as the priest.
