Small quarto, original boards, tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of the author. Translated into English by Henry S. Sigerist with his introduction. Facsimile of the original 1478 edition. One of 350 copies. From the library of Sally and Rockwell Kent with their bookplate to the pastedown. Fine in the original glassine and original slipcase which are in good condition.

Illustrious Valencian doctor and theologian Arnaud de Villeneuve (Arnald of Villanova) was the author of numerous religious, pharmacological, and medical works in addition to works on infusion, wine, and alcoholic distillation.
