Leo Durocher (1905–1991) was a prominent figure in twentieth-century American baseball, remembered both for his accomplishments as a player and manager and for his outspoken, often controversial personality. Nicknamed “Leo the Lip,” he played as an infielder for teams including the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals before becoming a manager best known for leading the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants, and Chicago Cubs.
