Ted Williams, one of the greatest hitters in Major League Baseball history, played his entire career with the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1960. Renowned for his exceptional batting skills, he remains the last player to achieve a .400 batting average in a single season, hitting .406 in 1941. Williams combined a scientific approach to hitting with natural talent, earning two American League MVP awards and six batting titles. His career was twice interrupted by military service as a fighter pilot during World War II and the Korean War, demonstrating both athletic and personal dedication. Beyond his playing career, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966 and later contributed to the sport as a manager and hitting instructor.
