Table Talk is a collection of Samuel Coleridge's conversational gambits at dinner, that were recorded and compiled by his nephew and covering the last twelve years of his life. The snippets recorded are heavily laden with Greek, Latin, French and Italian and contain a vast amount of references to contemporary people and events. The comments are erudite, witty and heavily spiced with Coleridge's prejudices and pet peeves with a strong emphasis on religion and politics.
