Mr. Personality: Profiles and Talk Pieces is a collection by Mark Singer, a longtime staff writer for The New Yorker. It gathers his profiles and Talk of the Town pieces from the magazine, portraits of memorable and often eccentric characters rendered with the wit, precision, and affection that became his hallmark. Singer joined The New Yorker in 1974 and became one of its most admired nonfiction stylists, the author of Funny Money and later books including Character Studies and Trump and Me. All of the selections gathered here originally appeared in The New Yorker.
