Rare poster for the Third Annual Soul Train Music Awards, held April 12, 1989 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, signed by Michael Jackson. The original color poster features an airbrushed portrait of Jackson singing, with a tribute above, "Special Honors To Mega Star Michael Jackson, King of Pop, Rock and Soul." Boldly signed by the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson in black felt tip. The Soul Train Music Awards, created by Don Cornelius in 1987 to honor excellence in Black music and entertainment, singled Jackson out for special recognition at the height of his global fame. In very good condition. The piece measures 22.25 inches by 28 inches. Rare.
