Jason Kidd is one of the finest point guards in the history of the NBA and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The second overall pick in the 1994 draft out of the University of California, he was named co-Rookie of the Year and went on to a nineteen-season career distinguished by his extraordinary court vision, rebounding, and all-around play. A ten-time NBA All-Star and five-time All-NBA First Team selection, he led the league in assists five times and ranks second on the all-time lists for both assists and steals. He carried the New Jersey Nets to consecutive NBA Finals and won an NBA championship in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks, the franchise that had drafted him, before closing his playing days as one of only a handful of players to record more than 17,000 points, 12,000 assists, and 8,000 rebounds. A two-time Olympic gold medalist with the United States, Kidd was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018 and has gone on to a successful career as an NBA head coach.
