American photojournalist James Nachtwey has won several awards, such as the Robert Capa Gold Medal four times since in 1983-1998, the 2002 Dan David Prize, and the 2006 Heinz Award. His work has also been adapted into a documentary War Photographer, which received an Academy Award. Inferno continues Nachtwey's poignant award-winning war photography.
