First edition of this work by the legendary Enzo Ferrari, one of only 1,000 numbered copies produced fuori commercio, not offered for sale but given to the patrons and friends of the author. Octavo, written in Italian, cream boards backed in brown leather. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author to Artemio Toccino on the half-title page, "all'artemio Toccino Ferrari 4/80." In fine condition. Housed in the rare original publisher's cardboard box.

Enzo Ferrari was an Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur, the founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team, and subsequently of the Ferrari automobile marque. He was widely known as "il Commendatore" or "il Drake". In his final years he was often referred to as "l'Ingegnere" or "il Grande Vecchio (the Great Old Man)".
