Analog: Science Fiction and Fact. [Containing the First Appearance of the Dune Novels].

First editions of eight issues of Analog: Science Fiction and Fact magazine containing the first appearance of Frank Herbert's Dune, later published as a  novel and adapted into the two blockbuster films of the same name. Octavo, original pictorial wrappers, with black and white illustrations. Includes December 1963, January and February 1964, which contain Dune World in three parts, and January through May 1965, which contain Prophet of Dune in five parts. The first six issues are in the bedsheet format with the final two issues in digest format. In near fine to good condition with wear to the extremities, a few small losses to the spines, and losses to the covers of the May 1965 issue. Very rare in serial format, being the first appearance of this timeless science fiction classic.
