Signed limited first edition of General Eisenhower’s wartime memoirs. Thick octavo, original cloth, cartographic endpapers, top edge gilt, original acetate. Signed by Dwight D. Eisenhower, number 548 of 1426 copies. Additionally inscribed by the author, “For William Howard with best wishes Dwight D. Eisnhower.” Also, laid in is a letter from William E. Robinson dated November, 23. 1948 to the recipient stating he met with General Eisenhower and received this inscription. Fine in the original acetate jacket and in the original slipcase. A wonderful example with exceptional provenance.
