First edition, first printing of E.B. White’s classic tale of friendship with the code “I-B” on the copyright page. Octavo, original cloth, blue and white spider-web patterned endpapers. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title page, “Jane Brauzel Congratulations and best wishes E.B. White.” Illustrated by Garth Williams. Very good in a very good dust jacket with some light rubbing to the extremities. Rare signed and inscribed.
