Autographed Signed Letter from Charles Spurgeon which reads, “My Dear Friend, May you have the most abundant measure of blessing in return for your very generous aid to the Lord’s work in my hands. Many waves go over you but none shall drown you. Yours ever truly C.H. Spurgeon Chapham S.W. Aug. 21, 69.”

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a preacher and author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, commentaries, books on prayer, devotionals, magazines and hymns. It is estimated that in his lifetime, he preached to around 10,000,000 people and is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Spurgeon produced powerful sermons of penetrating thought and precise exposition. His oratory skills held his listeners spellbound in the Metropolitan Tabernacle and many believe Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature.
