Octavo, original navy cloth, tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Hoover from the drawing by Clarence R. Mattei. Presentation copy, warmly inscribed by Hoover on the front free endpaper, "Dear Mrs. Bent, This is not my authorship but I am for it and I am glad you have it. Sincerely Herbert Hoover." Near fine in a very good dust jacket with a chip to the front panel. Rare with such a lengthy inscription.
