Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "To William McDougall with kindest regards Upton Sinclair." The recipient, Professor William MacDougall who was a renowned 20th century psychologist, wrote the introduction to another of Sinclair's work on telepathy: 'Mental Radio: Does it Work, and How,' which documents Sinclair's test of the psychic abilities of his second wife while she was in a state of profound depression.
