First edition of the first volume of Keynes' classic work. Octavo, original cloth with gilt titles to the spine. In near fine condition with light rubbing and toning. Ownership signature to the front free endpaper. Accompanied by an autograph note signed by Keynes on a personal postcard with his Gordon Square address and dated June 30, 1923. The note reads in full, "I am sorry that I had to refuse St. Albans. But I don't very often make speeches, preferring to write. JM Keynes." In near fine condition with old mounting marks and light toning.
