First edition of this youthful adventure tale. Quarto, original pictorial boards, illustrated by Raymond Briggs. Presentation copy, inscribed by Raymond Briggs opposite the half-title page, "For Eileen Ireland with Best Wishes from Raymond Briggs 26 April 1981." Additionally signed by Ian Serraillier and again by Raymond Briggs on the half-title page. Good in a good dust jacket with closed tears and rubbing to the spine and crown.
