  First edition of President Lincoln Self-Pourtrayed, the scarce variant imprint, which was printed in London as indicated on p. 240 and the priority of which is unknown (M 864). Octavo, original publishers cloth with gilt titles to the spine, engraved tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Lincoln, with "The proceeds of this volume are intended to be devoted for the relief of the Freedmen of the United States exclusively" to the verso of the title page. In very good condition. Rare.
