  First edition with colored plates of Egan's classic collection of sporting anecdotes. Octavo, bound in full red straight grain morocco by Lloyd with gilt titles and elaborate gilt tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, gilt ruling and cornerpieces to the front and rear panels, gilt turn-ins and inner dentelles stamp-signed by Lloyd, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, illustrated with tissue-guarded colored plates, some folding, original pictorial paper wrappers bound in at rear. In very good condition. Housed in a custom slipcase.
