An 88 page manuscript of Patrick Leigh Fermor’s book "Three Letters From the Andes" with Leigh Fermor’s hand corrections throughout. Quarto, photocopy typescript. Privately printed in Kardamyli in 1972. Association copy, inscribed by the author, "For Xan and Daphne with tons of love from Paddy." The recipient Daphne Fielding was a British socialite and memoirist best known for The Duchess of Jermyn Street and The Nearest Way Home, offer valuable insight into the world of the “Bright Young Things” and the decline of the English upper classes. Xan Fielding was a British writer and former SOE operative whose travel memoirs and wartime accounts, notably Hide and Seek, blend adventurous narrative with rich cultural insights from the Mediterranean and Middle East. In very good condition with light wear and toning. Accompanied by a photocopy typed poem addressed to Patrick Leigh Fermor with hand written ownership notes. Rare and desirable.
