Octavo, 8 volumes bound in full polished calf with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, morocco spine labels lettered in gilt, double gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, gilt turn ins and inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, tissue-guarded engraved frontispiece of Milton to Vol. I engraved by W. Humphreys forma print by Faithorne, titles in red and black with Pickering's printer's device. In near fine condition, bookplates. A very handsome set.
