First edition of this German translation and interpretation of the Torah. Small octavo, original publisher's black cloth with leather spine labels, top stain yellow. Boldly signed by Martin Buber on the front free endpaper. In near fine condition. From the collection of Rabbi Walter Jacobs of Pittsburgh. A sheet with a notice on one side by Buber and errata on the other, and another sheet with ads for a festschrift honoring Buber and a book by Rosenzweig laid in.
