First edition of Booth Mooney's biography of Lyndon B. Johnson. Octavo, original cloth, illustrated with photographs. Association copy, inscribed by Lyndon B. Johnson on the front free endpaper, "To Hubert Humphrey with my high regard Lyndon B. Johnson." The recipient, Hubert Horatio Humphrey Jr., served as Lyndon B. Johnson's vice president from 1965 to 1969. Humphrey took office on January 20, 1965, ending the 14-month vacancy of the Vice President of the United States, which had remained empty when then-Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson assumed the Presidency after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. As President Lyndon B. Johnson's vice president, he supported the controversial Vietnam War. An intensely divided Democratic Party nominated him in the 1968 presidential election, which he lost to Republican nominee Richard Nixon. Near fine in a very good dust jacket.

First edition of this beautiful pictorial history of the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States. Octavo, bound in full pebbled dark green morocco, gilt titles to the spine, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, patterned endpapers, all edges gilt, illustrated with numerous full page color photographs. One of 100 copies. Inscribed by Lady Bird Johnson on the limitation page, "January 31, 1970 For Sarah and Lawrence Clay Maliek with the warm good wishes for all your days ahead Lady Bird" and signed by Lyndon B. Johnson, "Lyndon B. Johnson." In near fine condition with light rubbing to the extremities. Rare and desirable signed by both Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson.

First edition of this beautiful pictorial history of the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States. Octavo, original cloth, patterned endpapers, illustrated with numerous full page color photographs. Presentation copy, inscribed by the President Johnson, "To Edward Dahut-with appreciation Lyndon B. Johnson." The recipient, Edward Dahut was the CEO of Bronzini Ltd., a prestigious men’s fashion house. Because President Johnson was a tall man, and wore Bronzini ties, the White House requested new ties cut to order. Dahut would send books of color swatches of designs for the line, normally given to Bronzini salesmen across the country to the White House for each new season, and the President made his selection of style, color and the number of ties he wanted. The ties selected were then manufactured especially for Lyndon Johnson and sent to the White House for the president to wear. Fine in a very good dust jacket. Accompanied by an original Bronzini tie.

Introduction by Lyndon Baines Johnson. Association copy, inscribed by Lyndon B. Johnson on the dedication page, "To Jack and Leota Horner from your friend and admirer Lyndon B. Johnson." The recipient, White House Correspondent Garnett D. Jack Horner, served as President of the White House Correspondents Association and covered Presidents from FDR to Gerald Ford. President Johnson often invited favored reporters to the LBJ Ranch, including Horner on multiple occasions throughout his presidency. Near fine in a very good dust jacket.
