  Rare original photograph of award-winning author Kurt Vonnegut. Black and white photograph of Vonnegut smiling with a cigarette in hand. Inscribed below the portrait in the margin, "Love to David and Loni - Dec. 27, 1974 Kurt Vonnegut Jr. *" The recipient, David Hayman, was a professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin. Renowned for his scholarship on James Joyce, Hayman was also a close associate of Kurt Vonnegut and interviewed him extensively, including a prominent feature in the Spring 1977 issue of The Paris Review. Matted and framed. In fine condition. The entire piece measures 24.375 inches by 18.375 inches. From the collection of David Hayman.
