First limited edition of this classic work inspired by King John. Octavo, original half-cloth. One of 500 numbered copies, this is number 8. Association copy, inscribed by the author to fellow writer James Joyce on the limitations page, "To James Joyce in admiration Joseph Shipley." The recipient, James Joyce was an Irish modernist writer whose novel Ulysses (1922) is widely regarded as one of the most influential works of twentieth-century literature. In very good condition.
