Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "For George Good with regards, John Steinbeck." Near fine in a very good price-clipped dust jacket. Laid in is an old pamphlet of Monterey, the capital of old California. Illustrated by Ruth Gannett. One of the most difficult books in the Steinbeck canon to locate signed.
