The recipient, Teddy Kollek, was an Israeli politician who served as the mayor of Jerusalem from 1965 to 1993 and founded the Jerusalem Foundation which restored many important landmarks in Jerusalem including its major synagogues. Once referred to as "the greatest builder of Jerusalem since Herod," Kollek essentially developed Jerusalem into a modern city after its reunification in 1967. In near fine condition.
