First edition of this memoir of one of the most sensational scandals of twentieth century America. Octavo, original red cloth, frontispiece, illustrated with black and white photographs. Lengthily signed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Fortunately you are here after we learnt somewhat, is that enough of sort? H. K. Thaw, Nov. 12, 1940." Near fine in a very good dust jacket. Accompanied with two vintage postcards from the turn of the 20th century of Evelyn Nesbit laid in titled, "Beauty and the Beast, posed by Evelyn Nesbit" and "The Tiger Head, posed by Evelyn Nesbit" with a message hand-written to the front of Tiger Head from previous owner. We have never seen another signed example.
