First edition of this early twentieth century travelogue of Canada and the western part of the United States of America. Quarto, original blue cloth with gilt titles to the front panel, triple ruling stamped in blind to the front and rear panels, illustrated with 14 mounted sepia toned gelatin silver prints. Presentation copy, lengthily inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "My dear Mark: Choo-choo! Choo-choo! Sting-a-ling! Sting-a-ling! All aboard! Sounds like business, eh? And your berth is all prepared for you with the select party now 'Doubling the North American Isle' with Your friend, W.S. Long. Xmas, 1913." In very good condition. Rare.
