The dedication copy, inscribed by the author on the dedication page to her daughter Katharine, who the book is dedicated to, "First copy received- to Katharine from Mother. Dec. 10th 1900." Additionally inscribed in pencil by Katharine with her Pasadena address on the front pastedown beneath her bookplate, which she had personally designed. In good condition with some rubbing to the extremities, some dampstaining to the top edge. An exceptional association copy.
