First edition of this work detailing Winston Churchill’s first 25 days as Prime Minister in May 1940, basis for the Academy Award-winning film bearing the same name. Octavo, bound in full morocco by the Harcourt Bindery with gilt titles and ruling to the spine in five compartments within raised gilt bands, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, gilt inner dentelles stamp-signed by the Harcourt Bindery, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Boldly signed by Academy Award-winning actor Gary Oldman on the half-title page. The book was adapted into a film of the same name, produced by Working Title Films and distributed by Focus Features.
