First edition of Earhart’s classic dramatic chronicle. Octavo, original cloth, illustrated with 61 black-and-white photographic plates, illustrated endpapers. Presentation copy, inscribed by Amelia Earhart on the verso of the frontispiece, "For Earnestine Fishbaugh. Amelia Earhart." The recipient, Earnestine Fishbaugh was the daughter of noted Hollywood physician, Dr. Ernest C. Fishbaugh. Accompanied by a laid in note from Hollywood screenwriter, Stewart Stern, gifting this book to Sybil, "17 April 1974 Dear "Sybil" - Since we share an admiration for A.E., and since I have enjoyed having this awhile, I will greatly enjoy knowing that you will have it now - Kindest regards to you Stewart Stern." Near fine in the rare original dust jacket, which is in very good condition. Rare in the original dust jacket and signed.

Octavo, bound in handmade tissue paper with a red ribbon, illustrated with a tipped in portrait of Amelia Earhart. Signed by Earhart in pencil beneath her portrait. In very good condition.
