First edition of this nineteenth-century travel narrative through Mexico. Octavo, original publisher's green cloth with gilt titles to the spine, vignette of the Aztec calendar stamped in gilt to the front panel. Illustrated with 13 tissue-guarded mounted albumen photographs, a lithographed map, and a plate of hieroglyphics. In very good condition.
