This Limited Editions Club set gathers the short stories in a definitive text edited by Edgar W. Smith, the leading figure of the Baker Street Irregulars, and reunites the canonical illustrations of Sidney Paget, who first visualized Holmes for The Strand Magazine, with those of Frederic Dorr Steele, who defined the detective’s image for American readers.
