Thomas Keneally (born 1935) is an Australian novelist, playwright, and nonfiction writer whose work frequently explores history, moral responsibility, and the ambiguities of power. He is best known internationally for Schindler’s Ark (1982), which won the Booker Prize and was later adapted into Steven Spielberg’s film Schindler’s List (1993), one of the most influential historical films of the late twentieth century.
