First edition of the tenth novel in Ian Fleming’s James Bond series. Octavo, original brown cloth. Presentation copy, inscribed to Denise Robins on the front free endpaper "To Denise with best wishes from Ian." In October 1963 Fleming presented the awards at the Romantic Novelists' Association, where he met Denise Robins, the then president of the Association, and they "chatted about the burning issue of their profession: should they cross the threshold of the bedroom?" (Lycett). Fine in a fine dust jacket. Jacket design by Richard Chopping. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. An exceptional association.
