First editions. Octavo, two volumes. Original black cloth. Volume one is near fine in a very good dust jacket. Signed "Sincerely Harry S. Truman" on the half-title page. Volume two is very good in a good dust jacket that shows some chipping to the spine. Volume One is from the library of Samuel I. Rosenman. Rosenman was an advisor to Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman. Under their administration he was a leading figure in the war crimes issue. He was also the first official White House Counsel, then called Special Counsel between 1943 and 1946.
