American prehistoric anthropologist Thomas Wilson compiled this work as a compact history of the symbol of the swastika, after finding little to no mention of it or its origin in almost every dictionary or encyclopedia published in the United States. Dating back to the extreme and classical eras of the orient, Wilson proposed that the symbol likely migrated from Asia through the Mediterranean and to the United States by way of ancient coins and bracelets.
