First edition of the author's second book, later translated into English as No One Writes to the Colonel. Octavo, original wrappers. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author in contemporary hand with his full signature, "Para Robert Kinsley, cordialamente Gabriel Garcia Marquez Mexico DF 1963." In near fine condition with a trace of wear. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. An exceptional example of this rarity.
