Octavo, bound in full morocco by the Harcourt Bindery, gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, gilt inner dentelles stamp-signed by the Harcourt Bindery, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. In near fine condition, small stamp to the title page and title page. An exceptional presentation.
In five lectures delivered in 1937, Hayek “extended Mises’ monetary theory to provide a groundbreaking analysis of the international operation of the pure gold standard… the first comprehensive case against so-called freely fluctuating exchange rates.”
